My Main Man

1. Introduction

Welcome to My Main Man (“the App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App. The App is operated by an individual developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

3. Access to the App

The App provides curated discovery tools, contextual recommendations, location-aware insights, and user-generated place bookmarking.

3.1 Anonymous Access

Anonymous browsing is permitted and allows access to a limited subset of curated MMM places.

3.2 Account Requirement

An account is required for: • search • saving places (“My Places”) • personalized recommendations • map-based features • settings and customization

Accounts are created exclusively through third-party OAuth providers (Google or Apple). No password-based authentication is supported.

4. Insider Subscription

The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (“Insider”), managed by the Apple App Store.

4.1 Billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon purchase confirmation. • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. • You may manage or cancel your subscription in Apple ID > Subscriptions. • Refunds are not provided for unused subscription periods except where legally required.

4.2 Insider Features

Insider subscribers receive:

• full MMM curated place library • unlimited user-generated places • Local Whispers for all places • configurable Whisper Range • Weather Sense • ability to show closed places • extended place search (Google Places / OpenStreetMap)

5. Location-Based Services

The App uses precise GPS, approximate location, background location updates, significant location change monitoring, and geofencing.

Location data enables:

• contextual recommendations • proximity notifications • map positioning and neighborhood detection • weather-based suggestions

You may disable location access at any time via device settings. Certain features may not function without it.

6. User-Generated Content

User Content includes saved places, notes (“why” notes), dislikes, removals, and configuration settings. You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the App, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and process that content solely to provide and improve App functionality. User Content is private and not visible to other users.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for unlawful or harmful activity • access or attempt to access systems without authorization • reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App • provide false or misleading information • interfere with App functionality or geolocation systems

Violation may result in suspension or account termination.

8. Intellectual Property

All branding, design elements, algorithms, UX components, images, and other intellectual property in the App are owned by the developer or licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or modify App content.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses or integrates with:

• Supabase (authentication, database) • Google Places / Google Maps • OpenStreetMap/Nominatim • Open-Meteo • RevenueCat • AI services (OpenAI / Anthropic / Grok, if enabled)

Your data may be shared with these services only as necessary to perform their respective functions. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accuracy, reliability, or availability. Location accuracy may vary.

11. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount paid by you for subscriptions in the preceding 12 months.

12. Termination We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may discontinue use at any time. Termination does not entitle you to subscription refunds.

13. Updates to Terms We may modify these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will be available in the App and on our website. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

14. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction of Residence], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
